Established in 1952 by Gaby Aghion and her partner Jacques Lenoir, Chloé sought to bridge the gap between Couture and everyday clothing of the time. Aghion coined the term luxury prêt-à-porter with very feminine garments. After a succession of renowned designers, the brand is now under the creative director Gabriela Hearst, who has led the French brand in reducing its environmental footprint by choosing more eco-friendly materials and more responsible production methods.
